## How to create a new Lineup

1. Navigate to the lineup screen. This screen has been revamped in Madden 25 and contains all the tools you need to manage your lineups.
2. Go to &quot;Change Active Lineup.&quot; You&#39;ll find several options here.
3. Select &quot;Create New.&quot; This option allows you to create a fresh lineup from scratch or copy your existing lineup.
4. Choose &quot;Build an Empty Lineup.&quot; This will give you a blank slate to work with.
5. Rename your new lineup. You can give it any name you like.

## Generating the Best Lineup Automatically

1. Go to &quot;Generate Best Lineup.&quot; This feature assembles the best possible team based on your current player pool.
2. Choose your criteria. You can select the best team overall, the best team for a specific theme (e.g., Philadelphia Eagles), or the best offense or defense.
3. Generate your lineup. The game will automatically pull players from your binder to create the optimal lineup based on your chosen criteria.

## Making Manual Adjustments

1. Identify areas for improvement. The &quot;Overall Improvement&quot; section highlights areas where you can upgrade your lineup.
2. Select the position you want to change. You can navigate through different positions to find the player you want to swap.
3. Remove the current player. Use the options &quot;Remove from Position&quot; or &quot;Remove from Lineup&quot; to take the player out.
4. Add a new player. Select the desired position, and a list of available players will appear on the right. Choose the player you want to add.
5. Utilize the quick swap feature. Press Square on PlayStation or X on Xbox to quickly swap players within a position.

## Activating Abilities and X-Factors

1. Go to the &quot;Abilities and X Factors&quot; tile on the left side of the screen. This section shows you all your players with abilities or X-Factors.
2. Select the player you want to modify. Use the directional pad to navigate through the list of players.
3. Activate or deactivate abilities and X-Factors. Use the designated buttons to activate or deactivate these features for the selected player.

## Managing Team Chemistries

1. View your current team chemistries. The &quot;Team Chemistries and Theme Teams&quot; tile displays the number of players from each team in your lineup.
2. Understand the tier system. Each theme team has tiers that provide different boosts based on the number of players activated.
3. Change a player&#39;s team chemistry. Press triangle or Y on Xbox to bring up options for the player. Go to &quot;Upgrade&quot; and then &quot;Chemistries and Positions&quot; to switch their team affiliation if they have played for multiple teams.
4. Optimize for higher tiers. Aim to reach higher tiers for your desired theme team to maximize the boosts.

## Utilizing Strategy Items

1. Access the strategy item slots. These slots are located on the left side of the screen and include categories like Offense, Defense, Program, Team Affinity, Coach, and Hybrid.
2. Select the slot you want to modify. Each slot corresponds to a specific type of boost or effect.
3. Choose a strategy item. The game will show you the available options for that slot and the boosts they provide.
4. Activate the item. Select the item you want to use to activate its effects.
5. Utilize the quick navigation feature. Hold down L2 on PlayStation or the left trigger on Xbox to quickly cycle through all six strategy item slots.

## Working with the Specialist Screen

1. Go to the Specialist screen. This screen allows you to fine-tune your lineup based on your play style and formations.
2. Adjust key positions. You can change your kick returners, punt returners, kickoff specialists, and long snappers.
3. Utilize specialized roles. Assign players to roles like Third Down Running Back, Power Back, Slot Receiver, Slot Cornerback, Rush Defensive Tackle, and Sub Linebacker to optimize their usage based on formations.
4. Adjust your lineup. Take advantage of the flexibility this screen offers to adjust player positioning based on your strategy.


By following these steps, you can effectively build a powerful lineup in Madden 25 and dominate the competition. Remember to explore the different features and options available to customize your team and maximize your players&#39; potential.

Best Offensive Playbooks In Madden NFL 25


Madden games can be won or lost based on how prepared you are before the snap. In this video, I&#39;m going over the pass blocking and hot route mechanics in Madden 25 so that you can become an expert in pre-snap preparation.
## Pass Blocking Mechanics

There are tons of new ways to set up your pass protection in Madden 25:

If you want to view Pass Blocking Assignments: Press and hold LB on Xbox or L1 on PlayStation to open the pass protection menu. This shows you which players will block which defenders. Unaccounted blitzers have a flame or fire icon above their head.
### Pass Protection Options:

- Base Protection


Default blocking assignments. Good for most plays. Blocked running backs typically pick up linebackers or slot cornerbacks.

- Empty Protection


Used in empty sets or without extra blockers. Linemen won&#39;t double team defensive tackles.

- Full Slide Left/Right: 


Shift blocking assignments entirely to one side. Ideal when blocking six or seven players.

- Half Slide Left/Right


Slide only part of the line. Running backs usually block linebackers or slot cornerbacks.

- ID The Mic


Change which defender your running back blocks by pressing A on Xbox or X on PlayStation.

- Max Protect


Keeps all running backs and tight ends in pass blocking.

- Double Team


Press down on the right stick to slow down dominant pass rushers.
## Hot Routes

You can hot route a receiver by first pressing y on Xbox or triangle on PlayStation and then selecting  the icon of the player whose route you want to change.  

Outside receiver on the left side of the field hot routes menu options will be 

- press up on the left stick to put him on a fade 
- press left on the left stick to put him on a speed out 
- press right on the left stick to put him on an in route 
- press down on the left stick to put him on a curl 
- press up on the right stick to put him on a post 
- press left on the right stick to put them on a c-shaped corner route
- press right on the right stick to put them on a slant 
- press down on the right stick to put them on a drag 
- press the left Trigger or L2 to put them on a comeback route
- press the right Trigger or R2 to put them on a smoke screen


Hot Routes for Slot Receivers have similar options than outside receivers with slight variations.

Hot Routes for options for Tight Ends are Similar to slot receivers with minor differences.

Hot Routes Options for Running Backs include streak, out route, in route, curl, swing routes, and blocking assignments.
## Smart Routes and Custom Stems
### Smart Routes

Smart routes have been around for a while now but in case you don&#39;t know, smart routing a receiver&#39;s route tells him to make his break just beyond the first downline. 

Smart routing can be done by pressing RB or R1 from the hot routes menu and while you can&#39;t smart route every route,  it works especially well with Post, Corners,  In Routes, Out Routes and Curls. 
### Custom Stems

Custom stems are new to Madden 25 and they&#39;re essentially the more advanced version of smart routes because they allow you to tell your receiver to make his break at any depth you want to use a custom route.

To use a custom route stem: After selecting your receiver from the hot routes menu you just have to press and hold the LB or L1 button then you can move your left stick up or down to adjust your receiver&#39;s route and make him break at whatever depth you want. There truly is no limit to how far up or down you can adjust your receiver&#39;s route stem, so with custom stems the only limit is your own creativity. 

Buying yourself time to throw and putting your receivers on top-notch Route combos are absolutely fundamental to having a successful passing attack. Once you master both of these aspects of pre-nap strategy, there&#39;s no doubt you&#39;ll be winning way more Madden games.

Blocking & Hot Routes In Madden 25


The NFL has new kickoff rules for the 2024 season, and Tall6uy will take you through the best ways to do it. On top of it, he’ll take you through the best ways to run the option in Madden 25.
## Kicking in Madden NFL 25

Press the X button on PlayStation or the A button on Xbox to start the kicking process.  Keep holding the button and release it when the power meter reaches your desired level.

While holding the button for power, use the left stick to aim your kick. Aim for the middle green zone for the most accurate kick.

Avoid Over kicking: If you hold the button too long and hit the red spot on the meter, you risk over kicking. This will make your kick less accurate and increase your chances of missing the kick.

If you&#39;re concerned about over kicking, you can simply hold the kick button throughout the entire process. This will result in approximately one-third of the power meter, suitable for shorter kicks like extra points.

Keep in mind that the kicking meter speeds up as the distance of the kick increases, making longer kicks harder. The size of the green accuracy zone on the meter also varies depending on your kicker&#39;s rating. A lower-rated kicker will have a smaller green zone, making accuracy more challenging.

Remember that Practice Makes Perfect. To master kicking, you should spend time in practice mode and familiarize yourself with the new kicking meter and fine-tune your technique.
## How to Run Option Plays In Madden 25
### Read Option 

A Read Option play gives the quarterback the choice to hand the ball off or keep it based on the defensive player designated as the &quot;read defender.&quot; The read defender will have an &quot;R&quot; icon above them in the play art.

If you do nothing after snapping the ball, the quarterback will hand the ball off to the running back automatically.

If you want to keep the ball, tap and hold the X button after the snap. You can also tap the button, release it, and then tap and hold it.

It’s important to read the Defender&#39;s Movement correctly: If the defender goes towards the running back, you should keep the ball. If the defender goes towards the quarterback, you should hand the ball off.
### Speed Option/Load Option (Pitch Plays)

These plays allow the quarterback to pitch the ball to a teammate, typically a running back. First you need to identify the pitch defender who will have a &quot;P&quot; icon displayed above them.

If the defender advances towards the quarterback, pitch the ball by pressing the L1 button or left bumper.
### Peaks/Alerts: 

These plays combine both run and pass options. Like the read option, if no action is taken after the snap, the ball will automatically be handed off to the running back.

Observe the defensive players to decide if you should pass or hand the ball off. For example, you can check the &quot;M icon&quot; (Mike linebacker) to see if the middle of the field is open. To throw a pass, tap the icon corresponding to the receiver you want to target.

Here is everything you need to know about the new features in Madden 25: Switch Stick and Coverage Shells.
## Switch Stick

Switch Stick is a new mechanic that lets you move around on defense and guard the pass on the fly. Once the ball is snapped, you can move your defender by flicking the right thumb stick in the direction you want the defense to cover. Here’s how it works:

- Set all players in a zone on defense.
- Snap the ball with the other controller.
- Use the right thumb stick to switch between defenders.
- You can easily move from guarding one player to another by flicking the stick.


This mechanic allows you to move your defense into better positions, making it easier to cover more of the field. 

To practice you switch stick skills, set up a zone drop defense and an empty set on offense, then snap the ball and move around using the right thumb stick.
## Coverage Shells

Coverage Shells is another new feature in Madden 25 that allows you to disguise your defense to confuse the offense. 

For example, you can disguise a Cover 3 as Cover 2. This confuses the offense into thinking they see one defense while you’re in another. The offense might adjust to prepare for a Cover 2, only to find their options limited post-snap.
### How to use coverage shells

- Choose a defensive play (not all plays allow this, but most do).
- Flick the right thumb stick to select your desired shell (e.g., Cover 2 Man, Cover Zero, Cover 3 Cloud).

### Important Tips when using coverage shells

Be cautious when using coverage shells, as some alignments can put you in a bad position.

Always reset to default if you’re not using a shell to avoid alignment issues.

Welcome to the all-new Madden NFL 25.

In this video, we&#39;ll take you through some accessibility settings that&#39;ll help you tailor your Madden gameplay experience.

When you first launch Madden NFL 25. You&#39;ll have the option to choose your accessibility settings.

You can also change your accessibility settings at any time by choosing accessibility from the main menu and selecting Edit.

To adjust your accessibility settings during gameplay. Pause the game and select the Options  tab. Then select Accessibility.

From the accessibility menu, you have control over features like Menu Narration and Voice Over Internet Protocol. This lets you communicate with other players  in real-time using voice or text chat.

To use Voice Over Internet Protocol and other audio features, you&#39;ll need to be connected to EA servers.

You can enlarge the on-field graphics to make gameplay icons bigger than the default size.

You can also adjust your settings to accommodate different types of color blindness, such as Protanopia, red weak.  Deuteranopia, green weak, and Tritanopia, blue weak.

Control game sounds with different volume sliders.

You can choose your volume settings for things like master volume, in-game commentary, stadium speakers, crowd volume, and more.

Now that you&#39;ve personalized your accessibility settings, you&#39;re all set to play Madden NFL 25 your way.

Want to compete with your friends on the field in Madden NFL 25?

In this video, we&#39;ll show you how to make sure cross-play is turned on so you can find friends across different platforms.

Cross-play in Madden NFL 25 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.

Cross-play should be turned on by default when you launch the game for the first time. To double check that cross-play is turned on, go to the main menu and choose the settings tab.

Scroll through the tabs, choose cross-play and make sure it&#39;s toggled on. You can also turn cross-play off here, but turning it off means you won&#39;t be able to play with friends across different platforms.

Cross-play is available in the online modes: Head-to-head, franchise, Madden Ultimate Team, and Superstar.

Once you&#39;ve turned cross-play on, connect with friends by opening the EA connect menu.

- Search for friends using their EA ID or their platform username. 
- Then select Add Friend to send them a friend request.


Now that you&#39;ve connected with friends, you can compete against them in specific online modes and showcase your skills in Madden NFL 25.

    1. Find your team in My Downloads in the Download Center.
    2. From the main menu, choose Franchise and select Enter Franchise.
    3. Create or join an online league.
    4. For a new league, choose Play Online Solo or Multiplayer.
    5. Note: Play Offline Solo won&#39;t allow importing your Team Builder team.

3. Roster Options:

In the following tutorial we will explain to you how to transfer your custom player from Road to Glory in EA Sports College Football 25 straight into Superstar mode in the all-new Madden NFL 25.

To do this, your Road to Glory player needs to be eligible for the NFL draft. This can happen before the off-season, at the end of year three, or at the end of year four.

1. In the Road to Glory menu, go to the Actions tab and choose &quot;Leave for the NFL.&quot; Here, you can choose to retire from college football or export your player to Madden.
2. Once you&#39;ve exported your player, it&#39;s time to jump over to Madden NFL 25. Go to the main menu and launch Superstar.
3. Select the position that matches the Road to Glory player you exported from EA Sports College Football. Choose &quot;Import&quot; to confirm you want to transfer your player.
4. Next, customize your avatar and use your creation points to improve their skills. An imported avatar can earn anywhere from 1 to 5 creation points, depending on your college performance.

Transfer A Player From College Football 25 To Madden 25


Madden 25 is full of trick plays and new mechanics that you can use to master misdirection on the virtual gridiron. In this guide, we&#39;ll cover how to use handoff mechanics on kick returns, RPOs, and read options, and then we&#39;ll share our top five favorite trick plays in Madden 25.
## Kick Return Trick Play Handoffs

To use these plays from the kick return screen:

1. Press LB or L1 to go to the Tricks Tab.
2. Select Return Reverse Left, Returner Read Option, or Return Reverse Right.


After your returner catches the kickoff, run straight up the middle of the field. Next locate the player coming on the reverse, indicated by the LB or L1 icon. Move towards him and hold LB or L1 to hand the ball off.

Try to aim to get your returner parallel to the reverse player for smooth handoffs. Once mastered, you&#39;ll catch your opponent&#39;s kick coverage team off-guard.
## Kick Return Read Option

Similar to the reverse, but you have the option to hand off to your other deep returner. He&#39;ll have the LB or L1 icon above his head. Hold LB or L1 to hand the ball off.
### User Handoffs on RPOs and Read Options

Identify the read key defender, marked with an R icon above his head. After the snap, if the read key stays outside, do nothing; the ball is automatically handed off.

If the read key comes in, hold A on Xbox or X on PlayStation to keep the ball with your quarterback and run into open space.

### Motion Double Pass Halfback Screen  

- Formation: Gun Pro Weak
- Playbooks: Bengals, Titans
- Before the snap, your slot receiver goes in motion
- After the snap, your QB throws back to him
- If you have a numbers advantage, take off down the sideline
- To pass, press the icon of your running back to throw across the field

### Philly Special  

- Formation: Pistol Philly  
- Playbook: Jacksonville Jaguars  
- Before the snap, the QB walks towards the flat.  
- The ball is snapped to the RB, who tosses it to the receiver for a pass.  
- If nothing is open, run for yards.  
- If the QB is open, throw to him for a classic play

### End Around Lead  

- Formation: Single Back Bunch  
- Playbooks: Broncos, Browns, Cardinals, Cowboys, Patriots, Run and Gun  
- Afte the snap, sake a handoff to the RB, then hand off to the receiver on the reverse.  
- This play often misdirects the defense, leaving space on the outside.

### RPO Zone Alert  

- Formation: Gun Monster  
- Playbook: Spread  
- Offensive tackles line up wide, confusing defenders.
- Hand off for easy yards up the middle.  
- If the defense stacks the box, throw to wide receivers on smoke screens.

### Motion Double Pass  

- Formation: Gun Bunch Strong Nasty  
- Playbooks: Buccaneers, Panthers  
- After the snap, the QB throws a backward pass to the outside receiver.  The middle receiver often pulls defenders, leaving open space to take off and gain yards.
