STAR WARS™: SQUADRONS ENGINE COMPONENTS

Your choice of engine will influence your starfighter’s speed, acceleration, maneuverability, and more. All engines are passive components.

Jet Engine / Ion Jet Engine

Engine
Passive
Routes more power to the boost thrusters, allowing for frequent bursts of great speed.

Microthrust Engine

Engine
Passive
Puts more power into the microthrusters for increased maneuverability, but reduces maximum speed and acceleration. Great for keeping starfighters in your sights.

Propulsion Engine

Engine
Passive
Accelerate faster and stop more quickly. Great for out-flying enemies trying to get behind you.

SLAM Engine

Engine
Passive
Generates afterburner fuel at lower energy levels. Available fuel is conserved, ensuring Afterburners are always available. Decreases max speed, but your ship now generates boost if any power is in engines. The more power, the faster it generates.

Sublight Engine / Twin Ion Engine

Engine
Passive
Provides a good balance of speed, acceleration, and maneuverability, without any bonuses or drawbacks. A good all-around choice, but doesn’t excel in any category.

Thrust Engine

Engine
Passive
Max speed is much higher, but acceleration and deceleration are lower. Also reduces maneuverability. Great for hit-and-run tactics.

Unstable Engine

Engine
Passive
Capable of incredible speeds and with all safety protocols removed, at the expense of Hull HP. When defeated, you create an explosion that can destroy nearby enemies. Load More
