STAR WARS™: SQUADRONS PRIMARY WEAPON COMPONENTS

The essence of starfighter combat lies in your ship’s primary weapons – your primary tool for attacking enemy starfighters. Equip your starfighter with weapons that fire rapidly, in bursts, with ionized particles, and a variety of other configurations. All primary weapons are active components.

Auto-Aim Cannon / Guided Laser Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
An auto-aiming laser cannon that makes aiming more forgiving, increasing your chance to hit but decreasing the overall damage.

Burst Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
A semi-automatic laser cannon that fires a burst of lasers every time you pull the trigger. Requires a small delay between each burst. Ideal for dealing a lot of damage quickly and if you have good aim.

Guided Burst Cannon / Guided Quad-Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
Equipped with an advanced aiming system that trades damage for improved accuracy. Rapidly fires several long-range lasers in a burst, but then has a short delay. It's much easier to hit foes than the unguided laser but deals less damage per shot.

Guided Rotary Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
Has a short wind-up time, then fires extremely quickly. It's much easier to hit enemies than with its unguided version, but also deals less damage per shot.

Ion Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
A cannon that fires ionized particles. Highly damaging to shields and capable of disabling subsystems. Deals low damage to ship hulls.

Laser Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
A standard laser cannon that provides a good balance between damage, rate of fire, and ammo cost. A great all-around choice but doesn't excel in any category.

Plasburst Laser / Plasburst Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
A laser cannon that can be charged-up before firing to increase damage. The longer you hold the button, the more powerful the shot will be when you release. Has a short max range.

Rapid Fire Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
An automatic laser cannon with very high fire rate, but low capacity. The firing speed results in a short range, but deals substantial damage. Ideal for hit and run tactics, and very dangerous up close.

Rotary Cannon

Primary Weapon
Active
A laser cannon with an internal rotary mechanism. Slow to start but delivers a very high rate of fire for long periods of time. Ideal if you want high sustained damage or are worried about missing. Load More
