STAR WARS™: SQUADRONS SHIELD COMPONENTS

Shields protect your starfighter from taking hull damage. They come in a wide variety of configurations, each with their own strengths and drawbacks. Some starfighters, such as the TIE fighter, do not support shields at all. All shields are passive components.

Conversion Shield

Shields
Passive
A shield generator capable of consuming laser ammo to create a brief, nearly invulnerable shield, but only once shields have been depleted.

Deflector Shield

Shields
Passive
A standard deflector shield that provides a good balance between damage resistance and energy regeneration. No bonuses or drawbacks. A good all-around choice, but doesn't excel in any category.

Fortified Deflector

Shields
Passive
A deflector shield that is capable of taking more damage, but has a slower rate of regeneration. Allows you to survive significantly more enemy fire.

Nimble Deflector

Shields
Passive
A deflector shield that regenerates more quickly, but cannot sustain as much damage. Great for hit-and-run tactics.

Overloaded Shield

Shields
Passive
High-risk shields that reduce all damage. A modified generator utilizes all shield energy to project an extremely powerful shield with low regeneration rate. Will not be able to regenerate at all if fully depleted.

Ray Shield

Shields
Passive
A specialized type of deflector shield that takes less damage from primary weapon systems, but more damage from secondary weapons like missiles and torpedoes.

Resonant Shield

Shields
Passive
A shield generator that routes excess energy into the weapon systems, regenerating laser ammo at a faster rate when shields are at max energy but reducing max shields and no shield decay.

Scrambler Shield

Shields
Passive
A shield generator that emits a low-level jamming frequency when at 100% power or higher, making it harder for enemies to lock on, but increasing the time it takes before shields start regenerating. Load More
